Amy, founder of Elements of Wellnessfocuses on the mind-body connection. For the last four years she has studied and researched mental health and psychology, conducting special projects in wellbeing and mind-body awareness.
The philosophy of Elements of Wellness is underpinned by the belief that fusing physical, mental and soulfulness supports total wellbeing. Moreover, Amy’s studies in yoga and mindful movement has helped her bridge the gap between physical and mental health. This specialism provides mindful yoga that taps in to our intuition, whilst creating awareness of what is going on for us on a physical, mental and emotional level.
Amy will be leading mindful yoga practice at the yoga beach festival. The class is suitable for all levels of fitness. By taking part you will practice mindfulness of your body and breath, both of which will be interwoven throughout a series of postures.
This class is good for those who may feel stressed and overwhelmed. By learning embodied life skills which help you breathe deeper, quieten the mind and release tension in the body we can learn how to recognise our feelings and explore tools which can help us navigate life with awareness and self-compassion.
Each class embraces the opportunity to practice breathwork, yoga postures and mindful movement, and closes with a guided meditation and restorative rest leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Amy will also be leading family yoga, based in psychological application which encourages positive family connections and offers a space which allows children to experience their thoughts, feelings and emotions through movement. By creating a link between their mind-body this yoga activity is designed to promote self-esteem, resilience, connections and importantly, to have fun! Parents and guardians must be with their child at all times.
